F&F provide a sense of belonging, comfort, and love. -- offering companionship, helping you feel less isolated, especially if living alone or are facing health challenges.

Interaction with loved ones helps stave off feelings of loneliness and depression.  Engagement stimulates the brain, improves cognitive function and memory  -- potentially reducing risks of dementia cognitive decline.

Strong social ties boost physical health.  Seniors' F&F who regularly check in on them are more likely to stay active, eat well, and comply with medical care orders lead longer/healthier lives.

Support becomes crucial as mobility or independence may decrease with age.  Seniors may get assistance with everyday

tasks.

Being connected to the world  by.sharing their past, gives seniors a reason to engage with the world. They can share their wisdom, experiences, and stories, which can help them feel valued and needed, adding purpose and fulfillment to their lives.

Friends and family are often the first to notice if something seems off—whether it’s a health issue, confusion, or a decline in abilities. Early intervention can prevent bigger problems down the road.

Need for friends and family  is even more essential as we age -- social connections offer emotional, mental, and physical benefits that significantly enhance quality of life.
